DMX splitter hire in Madrid.
Need to distribute your DMX signal across several lighting lines? At Peak Entertainment we rent DMX splitters for events, concerts, festivals and productions in Madrid and throughout Spain. From our base in Pinto (Madrid) we also rent lighting control, moving heads and structures. Send us your date and the number of lines you need, and we will confirm availability and send you a quote.
A DMX splitter takes one DMX512 input and distributes it to several independent outputs. Instead of daisy-chaining every fixture on one long line, you can run a separate line to each area: the front truss, the back truss, the stage floor or the DJ booth. If a cable or fixture fails on one branch, the others keep receiving signal, and many splitters electrically isolate their outputs to protect the lighting console. For hire we have the Prolights Splitter 1x4: one DMX input and four outputs, a setup that suits concerts, parties, corporate events, theatre and weddings. How to choose: count how many physical branches your rig will have (truss positions, side positions, floor) and how many fixtures will go on each. If you need more than four outputs, you can combine several units; ask us how many are available for your date. And one tip: DMX should never be split with a Y-cable; that is exactly what a splitter is for.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to hire a DMX splitter?
The Prolights Splitter 1x4 rents for €20, excluding VAT. If you need several units or more lighting equipment, ask us for a quote at info@peaksound.es or on +34 636 410 986.
What is a DMX splitter for, and when do I need one?
It splits one DMX line into several independent outputs. You need one when your fixtures are spread across different areas of the stage, or when you want a fault on one branch not to cut the signal to the rest of the rig.
