This category brings together what you need to measure and control the sound at an event. The NTI XL2 is a sound level meter and acoustic analyzer with RTA, paired with the NTI M4260 measurement microphone. The NTI Minirator MR Pro is an analog signal generator (pink noise, sweeps, polarity and delay test signals) for checking cables and equipment, and the AZ 8930B is used to calibrate sound level meters before measuring. To tune a PA system from a computer there is Rational Acoustics Smaart V9, real-time analysis and transfer function software, alongside the Audix TM 1, an omnidirectional condenser measurement microphone. If the audience or staff need to see the level, the Dateq SPL-D2 MKII is a large LED display that shows sound pressure level and turns red when the set threshold is exceeded. This equipment is common at concerts, festivals, clubs, venues with noise limits and corporate events. To choose, think about whether you need to document levels, tune a system or simply keep an eye on volume; if in doubt, tell us about your event.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent an SPL meter or RTA equipment?
Prices on the website are rental prices and exclude VAT. For example, the NTI XL2 sound level meter and analyzer is listed at €53 and the AZ 8930B calibrator at €5. For several items or specific dates, ask for a quote.
What is the difference between an SPL meter and an RTA analyzer?
An SPL meter measures sound pressure level in decibels; an RTA analyzer shows in real time how that sound is distributed across frequencies. The NTI XL2 does both, and Smaart V9 adds RTA and transfer function analysis on a computer.
