About the L'Acoustics X12

The L'Acoustics X12 is a passive two-way enclosure built around a 12" coaxial driver and a 3" compression driver, which the manufacturer calls a "jack of all trades" for any short-throw duty: it works as front-of-house reinforcement and, thanks to its monitor angles, as a stage monitor too. It is used at venue concerts, corporate events, theatre and live shows that call for a compact, high-SPL box with controlled 90° × 60° coverage. As a floor monitor it sits at 35° without risers and 55° with risers. For low-end reinforcement pair it with the L'Acoustics SB18 subwoofer, and for mixing with the Midas M32r or Midas MR18 consoles. Do I need amplification for the X12?

Yes: the X12 is a passive 8 Ω enclosure and L-Acoustics recommends driving it with its LA2Xi, LA4X, LA8 or LA12X amplified controllers. If you do not have compatible amplification, ask about availability when requesting your quote.
