What it is rented for

It is used to place the 4099 on drums at concerts, recording sessions and TV productions. DPA explains that mounted upwards, the mic can be positioned across the drum skin, the usual choice for live rock; mounted downwards, it sits a little further from the drum and is almost invisible, which suits TV work and is often chosen for jazz. If you also need the microphone, our catalogue lists the DPA 4099 DC; ask what is included when you request a quote.
