About the Iso Stone + Squash

Iso Stone + Squash is an anti-vibration isolation set for turntables, aimed at vinyl DJs playing in booths where the deck picks up vibration from the floor or from the sound system itself. Peak Entertainment offers Iso Stone + Squash hire in Madrid and across Spain for €10 plus VAT, as an extra you can add to your backline order. Renting makes sense because you only need it at certain gigs: when the booth at a club, festival or party is poorly isolated.

What it is rented for

It makes sense in club booths, at festivals, label showcases, parties with a powerful rig and all-vinyl sets; in other words, wherever a large system and a poorly isolated booth make the turntable feed back as a low hum or make the needle skip. Peak also hires out the Technics 1200 MK7, 1210 M5G and 1200 M7L 50th Anniversary: check with us whether the Iso Stone + Squash suits your model. It can be paired with Ortofon Concorde cartridges and with mixers from our catalogue such as the Allen & Heath Xone:92 or the Rane MP2015.

Key specs

• Anti-vibration isolation for turntables: that is the set's stated function in Peak's catalogue.
• Low hum: with large sound systems and poor booth isolation, turntable feedback usually shows up as a low drone (Resident Advisor).
• Footsteps, a bouncing dancefloor and bass: they make a deck rumble; remedies include cushioning under the decks and repositioning the bass speakers or the decks (Digital DJ Tips).
• Dimensions, weight and load rating: on request; we confirm them together with availability.
• Alternatives in the same category: the Isonoe isolation set (magnesium-alloy feet with a standard M6 thread) and the Luke Absorber (birch-plywood base with foam dampers, 46.5 × 36.2 × 5.5 cm, 3.1 kg).
• €10 plus VAT: rental price; state the turntable model and how many decks when you request a quote.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to hire the Iso Stone + Squash and how do I book it?

Rental costs €10 plus VAT. Ask Peak Entertainment for availability and a quote, stating the date, your turntable model and how many decks you want to isolate; we will confirm whether it suits your setup.

Does it get rid of turntable feedback in the booth?

It is designed to isolate the turntable from vibration, but it cannot guarantee the feedback will disappear. Feedback mostly appears with large systems and poorly isolated booths, as a low hum. If it persists, try repositioning the bass speakers or the decks in relation to the dancefloor.

Will it work with my Technics, or should I hire a different isolator?

Tell us the model when requesting availability and we will confirm. The category also includes the Isonoe isolation set, feet with a standard M6 thread, and the Luke Absorber, a base with recesses milled for the Technics SL-1200's feet, according to Recordcase.
