About the Midas DL32
The Midas DL32 is a 32-input, 16-output digital stage box with 32 Midas PRO microphone preamps controlled remotely from the console. It replaces the analogue multicore with a single shielded Cat5e cable of up to 100 m over AES50. It is designed for sound engineers, production companies and touring bands working with a Midas M32 or any AES50-equipped console. Peak Entertainment offers Midas DL32 hire in Madrid and throughout Spain: ask us for availability and a quote.
What it is rented for
It is used at concerts, festivals, theatres, corporate events and live recordings, wherever many channels have to travel from stage to control with one cable. Pair it with the Midas M32r over AES50 and, when more inputs are needed, with a second DL32 (up to 64 inputs and 32 outputs) or a cascaded Midas DL16. Its ADAT and AES3 outputs feed recorders or digital processors, ULTRANET drives P16 monitoring, and the XLR returns can run Powersoft T604 amplifiers or RCF Art 910 A speakers. Shure SM58, Shure Beta 52A Kick Drum or DPA 4099 DC microphones complete the stage.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to hire the Midas DL32?
Midas DL32 hire from Peak Entertainment is €50 excluding VAT. If you also need a Midas M32r console, a Midas DL16 stage box or microphones, ask for a combined quote with your dates and venue, in Madrid or anywhere in Spain.
Does it work with a Behringer X32 or only with the Midas M32?
Midas designed it with the M32 in mind, but any console with AES50 networking can use it. The Behringer X32, on which the M32 is based, has AES50 ports using the same shielded Cat5e cabling up to 100 m. The clock master, normally the console, connects to AES50 port A.
Which cable do I need and how far does it reach?
A shielded Cat5e cable with etherCON connectors, up to 100 m according to Midas, which recommends shorter runs where possible and warns that joining two or more cables with extension couplers can reduce reliability and maximum distance. Unshielded (UTP) cable adds a risk of ESD problems.
