About the Funktion One Res 2 SH

The Funktion One Res 2 SH is the mid-high section of the Resolution 2: a skeletal Funktion-One loudspeaker with an 8" midrange and a 1" high-frequency driver, operating from 250 Hz upwards. At 13 kg and 106 dB sensitivity it delivers serious output from a compact frame. Peak Entertainment, Funktion-One's official distributor in Spain, offers Funktion One Res 2 SH rental in Madrid and across Spain for DJs, promoters, venues and production companies who want the Funktion-One sound without deploying a large system.

What it is rented for

It works as a main system for parties, small clubs, showcases and mid-sized events when paired with a Funktion-One bass enclosure such as the F215 or BR118, both in our catalogue. In larger rigs it serves as in-fill, front-fill or delay to cover areas the main system misses, thanks to its 50° x 25° dispersion. For amplification and processing we stock Powersoft amplifiers (K2, T604, T904) and processors such as the XTA DP226. Ask for availability and a quote for the complete package.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent the Funktion One Res 2 SH?

The rental price listed on our website is €60 per unit, excluding VAT. For a complete system with bass, amplification and processing, ask for a quote and availability and we will confirm dates and conditions for Madrid or anywhere in Spain.

Does it need a subwoofer or can it run on its own?

The Res 2 SH operates from 250 Hz, so as a main system it needs a bass enclosure. Funktion-One recommends its F118, F215 or BR118; at Peak we stock the F215 and BR118. As in-fill or delay it can run without a sub.

Why is the Funktion-One sound so sought after?

Funktion-One was founded in 1992 by Tony Andrews and John Newsham after leaving Turbosound; the Resolution line debuted at the Millennium Dome in 2000 and the brand powers clubs like Berghain and Space Ibiza. The Res 2 SH is now discontinued, which makes renting it especially attractive.
