Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent the Ortofon Concorde Club MKII Twin and what is included?

Rental is €40 excluding VAT for the pair of Ortofon Concorde Club MKII turntable cartridges. If you also need turntables or a DJ mixer, you can rent them together with the cartridges; ask for availability and a quote for your dates.

Does it fit any turntable?

No. Ortofon designed it for tonearms with an SME-type bayonet connector: it integrates cartridge and headshell and mounts without screws or wires. For example, according to Technics, the universal tonearm of the SL-1200MK7 takes 14.3 to 20.7 g including headshell, and the Concorde weighs 18.5 g.

Why choose the Concorde Club over a spherical-stylus model?

For its Special Elliptical stylus: according to Ortofon it fits better in the groove and extracts more detail than a spherical diamond. The Concorde dates from 1979, when it won the Danish Industrial Design Award, and Ortofon says DJs around the world continue to trust the MKII series.
