About the Ortofon Twin Digital MKII Twin

Ortofon Twin Digital MKII Twin hire in Madrid: a pair of Concorde MKII Digital cartridges with pre-fitted styli in a flight case, ready for the DJ booth. This is the Concorde MKII model Ortofon optimises for timecode vinyl: it is designed to extend the life of control records and minimise decoding errors, while still delivering optimal output and sound with conventional vinyl. DJs, promoters and production companies hire it for DVS or vinyl booths in Madrid and across Spain so they are not relying on whatever cartridges each artist brings.

What it is rented for

The pair covers both decks in a DJ booth: clubs, festivals, private parties, brand showcases and streamed sets where the artist plays control vinyl or records. It mounts directly on the tonearm, with no headshell, on the Technics 1200 MK7, 1210 M5G or 1200 M7L 50th Anniversary, and pairs with a mixer such as the Allen & Heath Xone:92, Pioneer DJM 900 NXS2, PlayDifferently Model 1 or Rane MP2015. If the stage vibrates, add Juego Isonoe Case or Iso Stone + Squash isolators under the turntables.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to hire the Ortofon Twin Digital MKII Twin and what is included?

Hire is €30 excluding VAT for the pair of Concorde MKII Digital cartridges with pre-fitted styli and flight case. Email info@peaksound.es or WhatsApp +34 636 410 986 to check availability and get a quote for your date in Madrid or anywhere in Spain.

Does it work with regular vinyl or only timecode?

Both. Ortofon designs the Concorde MKII Digital to extend the life of timecode vinyl and minimise decoding errors, but states it also provides optimal output voltage and sound quality with conventional vinyl. The stylus is spherical, so it also works on straight-arm DJ turntables.

What tracking force should I set on a Technics 1200/1210?

Ortofon recommends 4 g (range 3–5 g). On Technics 1200/1210 decks the manufacturer notes you may need to remove the small cylindrical sub-weight from the rear of the tonearm to reach adequate tracking force with a Concorde.
