About the Roland TR-909
The Roland TR-909 is the hybrid analogue/digital drum machine Roland launched in 1983, and the one that ended up defining the sound of house and techno. Peak Entertainment offers Roland TR-909 hire in Madrid and across Spain for producers, DJs and artists who want the original unit for a live set, a studio session or a shoot. With fewer than 10,000 ever built, a TR-909 in good working order is hard to find; renting one lets you use the real machine without buying it.
What it is rented for
The TR-909 is mostly used in techno and house live sets, hybrid DJ-plus-hardware shows, studio recordings and audiovisual productions that want the original kick and hi-hats. With 16 steps per bar, shuffle, flam and accents, it can be programmed on the fly using the classic TR-REC workflow. From our catalogue it pairs naturally with the Roland SH-101 or Juno-106 for an all-Roland rig, with mixers such as the Allen & Heath Xone:96, PlayDifferently Model 1 or E&S DJR 400 FX, and with Radial J48 DI boxes to feed its individual outputs into a Funktion-One system.
