About the Korg microKorg MKI

The Korg microKorg MKI is the original 2002 microKORG: a four-voice analog modeling synthesizer with an 8-band vocoder and 37 velocity-sensitive mini keys. Korg itself calls it one of the most respected and best-selling keyboards in history. Live bands, electronic producers and DJs rent it when they need a compact synth with an instantly recognisable sound for a single date. We offer Korg microKorg MKI rental in Madrid and work across the whole of Spain: check availability and ask for a quote.

What it is rented for

It works for pop, indie and electronic live shows, hybrid DJ sets with instruments, and TV or video productions that need a small synth with a classic sound. Its signature feature is the 8-band vocoder with microphone, for robot voices and processed backing vocals. It pairs well with the Korg Electribe EMX-1 groovebox or the Roland TR-8 drum machine in a live electronic set, with a Radial J48 stereo DI box to feed the signal to a Mackie 1202 VLZ4 mixer, and with a Proel Key Stand x3 Black.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent the Korg microKorg MKI?

The rental price is €50 excluding VAT. To confirm availability for your event date in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, request a quote by email (info@peaksound.es) or by phone and WhatsApp (+34 636 410 986).

Does the rental include the vocoder microphone?

Korg ships the microKORG with a mini microphone for the vocoder. If you plan to use that function at your event, tell us when you request the quote and we will confirm the microphone's availability together with the synth's.

Can the microKORG connect to a computer over USB?

No: the original microKORG has MIDI In, Out and Thru but no USB port. To control or record it from a DAW you need a MIDI interface; audio comes out of its two analogue outputs. To send it to the mixer, add a Radial J48 stereo DI box.
