About the Klark Teknik DN-360
The Klark Teknik DN360 is a two-channel analogue graphic equaliser with 30 third-octave bands per channel, designed for live sound and studio work. It was launched in 1984, and in 2004 the trade press was still calling it the industry-standard graphic EQ. It is now discontinued, so hiring one is the easy way to use it at your event. Peak Entertainment offers Klark Teknik DN-360 hire in Madrid and across Spain; ask us about availability.
What it is rented for
In live sound it is used to equalise the PA in each venue and, above all, the stage monitors, pulling down the frequencies that cause feedback. In the studio it compensates for control-room acoustics, and the manual also covers theatre and broadcast use. The usual setup is one channel per side of a stereo system, or one per monitor send. The manufacturer recommends setting it up with a spectrum analyser; if you need one, it could be paired with an NTI XL2 or Rational Acoustics Smaart V9, also in our catalogue.
Key specs
- 2 channels × 30 third-octave bands (60 faders), ISO centre frequencies from 25 Hz to 20 kHz with ±5 % tolerance.
- Maximum boost/cut of ±12 dB or ±6 dB on the scale switch; its centre position acts as bypass.
- MELT thick-film filters with no inductors; proportional-Q according to the distributor's spec sheet (the band narrows as cut or boost increases).
- Switchable subsonic filter per channel (18 dB/octave, −3 dB at 30 Hz) and per-channel overload LED at +19 dBu.
- Frequency response ±0.5 dB (20 Hz–20 kHz), distortion <0.01 % at 1 kHz, equivalent input noise <−90 dBu, channel separation >75 dB.
- Oil-damped faders with centre detent, ground-lift switch and balanced 3-pin XLR inputs and outputs.
- 3U rack, 482 × 205 × 133 mm, 5 to 5.8 kg depending on version; 110/120/220/240 V mains, under 15 VA.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to hire the Klark Teknik DN-360?
Hire is 40 € excluding VAT, as listed on our website. We work in Madrid and across Spain. Email info@peaksound.es or WhatsApp +34 636 410 986 to check availability and request a quote; ask what is included when you do.
What is the advantage of a graphic EQ with physical faders?
With 60 faders (30 per channel), the fader positions show the applied curve at a glance, with no menus. According to the distributor's spec sheet, its filters are proportional-Q: broader at gentle settings and narrower when you cut deep.
Is the DN360 still made?
No. Dealers such as Markertek and Bax list it as discontinued. According to Markertek, it stayed in production for over twenty years with only one minor design change. If you need one for an event, ask us about availability for your date.
