About the Waves Maxx BCL
The Waves MaxxBCL is a 2U mastering processor that turns a software chain widely used by mastering engineers into hardware: the Renaissance Compressor, second-generation MaxxBass and the L2 Ultramaximizer limiter. Waves designed it primarily for sound reinforcement, so it is useful for FOH and monitor engineers, fixed installations, recording and broadcast. We offer Waves MaxxBCL rental in Madrid and across Spain; Waves has discontinued the unit, so please check availability in advance.
What it is rented for
In live sound it sits as the last stage before the PA: the console's stereo mix feeds the MaxxBCL and its outputs go to the crossovers or PA inputs. It delivers more bass without taxing the speakers and protects the PA with brick-wall limiting, on large rigs as well as in clubs and small venues. It also works on stage monitors, for recording a live show or broadcasting it on radio, TV or a stream, and on the output of a DJ mixer feeding a broadcast console. It can be paired with consoles, processors and subwoofers from our catalogue.
