About the SSL Xlogic G Series Compressor
The SSL XLogic G Series Compressor is the 1U rack version of the stereo bus compressor from SSL's G Series consoles, updated with SuperAnalogue circuitry; SSL credits its bus compressor with gluing mixes together for 40+ years. It is a tool for mixing and mastering studios after the character of the SSL bus compressor, and it can also be inserted on the master of a live show. We offer SSL XLogic G Series Compressor rental in Madrid and across Spain: ask for a quote and availability.
What it is rented for
Its main job is mix-bus or master-bus compression: Sound on Sound describes it as a very effective master stereo compressor that makes mixes louder without sounding aggressive, and its output can feed a digital mastering recorder directly. It can be paired with the Midas M32r from our catalogue at a live show, or with the Crane Song Ibis and the Mytek 8 x ADDA 192 converters for mastering. The XLR external key input lets another signal drive the compression, and Autofade, from 1 to 60 s, delivers repeatable fade-outs across mix versions.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent the SSL XLogic G Series Compressor?
The rental price is €100 excluding VAT. We work in Madrid and across Spain; email info@peaksound.es or WhatsApp +34 636 410 986 with your dates and we will confirm availability and a quote.
Is it the same compressor as in the SSL G Series consoles?
According to Sound on Sound, the circuit derives from the centre section of the G Series consoles, updated with SSL's SuperAnalogue circuitry. It is the standalone rack version of that bus compressor, not an emulation.
What connections do I need to use it on the master bus?
Balanced stereo XLR input and output at +4 dBu, plus an XLR external key input if you want sidechain. It can be inserted on a console's master bus, or in the analogue path between the converters' D/A output and A/D input.
