About the XTA DP226

The XTA DP226 is a 2-in, 6-out digital loudspeaker management system in a single 1U unit: crossover, parametric EQ, delay and output limiters in one box. Released in the late 1990s, it became the system processor behind most major tours and many rental inventories. What it is rented for

Use it to split the console feed into the bands of a PA system (subs, low-mids, highs), time-align each cabinet and protect the drivers with limiters, at concerts, festivals, club nights and corporate events running two- to six-way systems. At Peak we pair it with Powersoft K2, T604 and T904 amplifiers, Funktion One F215, F218 MKII, BR118 or Res 4 cabinets, and L'Acoustics X12 and SB18. For system tuning add an NTI XL2 or Rational Acoustics Smaart V9, and a Midas M32r as the FOH console.

Yes. The DP226 has RS232, RS485 and MIDI ports; several units daisy-chain over RS485 and are managed from a laptop with XTA's AudioCore software. It can also be operated entirely from the front panel, using the LCD and three encoders.
